There are a lot of things that get in the way of just relaxing and enjoying life. We have a lot of responsibilities, and sometimes they can pile up and become too much of a burden. You work hard all week long, and when it comes to your days off, you want to relax, and not have to worry about all those little tasks that still need doing. I realized pretty early on just how frustrating those barriers can be for a lot of people. That’s why I started Old Man with a Truck—I wanted to take care of some of those everyday tasks and help others in the community relax.
Taking Care of the Every Day Tasks
Lawn care, repairs, light hauling—all these can take up a significant part of your day. I want to make those tasks a little easier. I can handle things like hedge clipping, furniture assembly, general handyman work, and light hauling—if it fits in the back of the truck, I can transport it for you.
A Part of the Community
I’m a Bristol County native, and I love my community. One of my main motivators for starting the company was to be able to give back. I’m happy to do my part and, if I can’t, I probably know someone who can, and am more than willing to help you get in touch.
The community has had a pretty big impact on me, as well, in the joy I’ve been able to bring others. In particular, I remember a time when I was helping a woman with some work, and she offered me a glass of lemonade in turn. That might not seem like much to a lot of people, but I was touched; it was some of the best lemonade I’d ever had. Because of this, I have a policy; if you give me a cup of lemonade, then I’ll give you a 10% discount on the job.
